We all have a few favorite items of clothing that have developed holes in them, but we just can't let them go. Bring your worn-out faves and learn how to mend them beautifully.
Sashiko, or visible mending, is a Japanese technique used to mend clothing with visible, decorative stitches. It also serves as a way to reinforce clothing and make it stronger as it wears.
Each participant is responsible for bringing items of clothing to repair, all other materials provided. Great candidates for mending are jeans or pants, socks, shirts, or sweaters. Bring anything with a hole in it! Go home with mended clothing plus a mending needle and some mending thread for future projects.
Hope to get creative with you!
