Learn the art of macraweaving in this intermediate level workshop! Must have experience with basic macramé knots (larks Head knot, square knot, and alternating square) and/or have taken the beginner macramé wall hanging workshop or plant hanging workshop with Sterling. In this workshop, your instructor Sterling of The Cactus Lady, will guide you in:
How to work the half hitch clove knot, and creating “pockets” for weaving in your piece.
An overview of basic weaving techniques including plain “tabby” weave, rya and soumak.
Leave with a finished wall hanging, and know how to continue your macraweaving practice at home.
Class fee includes live instruction and all necessary materials, including cotton rope, yarn, wood roving and wood dowel. Finished hanging will be approximately 12inch wide by 28inch lentry.
