Sgraffito Exploration in Clay

Learn the basics of slab building and explore the various techniques of sgraffito (a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting color).

We'll start at the beginning, so if you are new to clay - don’t be shy. Or if you’re an experienced potter, sgraffito is an excellent adornment for future projects.

We will be using a white mid-fire stoneware to create a vessel for the home (ie. kitchen utensil holder, flower vase, bathroom cup). Pieces will be fired and clear glazed after the workshop and be available for pick or can be mailed if necessary.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or bring an apron.

All other materials provided.

Tickets: $65
