Indigo Dye Day

Ever been curious about the magic of indigo? Come learn all about it in this one-day workshop. You'll learn the basics of making an indigo vat, tying up the cloth for pretty patterning, and dyeing techniques. The class will cover tie-dye and shibori (Japanese tie-dye) methods for making all different kinds of patterns on cloth. You'll be using everyday objects, such as rubber bands, popsicle sticks, and stones. The possibilities are endless!

Plesae bring a some fabric to dye. Anything with a natural fiber content will do - cotton, linen, silk, and the like, with little to no synthetic blends. Suggested items are small to medium in size, such as t-shirts or other clothing items, pillowcases, napkins, or even scraps of fabric. Additional items will be provided, including endless fabric scraps to play with and some wearables.

Wear something you don't mind getting stained! Bring an apron and rubber gloves if you have them.

Looking forward to getting creative with you!
