What is Block Printing? It's a type of relief printing where design motifs are printed with wooden, linoleum or rubber blocks. Woodblock Printing is one of the earliest methods of textile printing. We will be using rubber to create blocks for printing in this class.
What you'll learn: We'll look at examples of block printing, discuss various techniques on how to design for relief printing, then we'll turn a simple sketch into a block and print!
What you'll get: Rubber blocks and high quality art paper for printing. Each person will take home the prints they make in class and the blocks they create!
