Learn to draw or advance your skills with local artist Louisa Powell!
When you arrive to this two-hour class, your drawing board, paper, and tools will be prepped and ready for you to get going! A collection of national parks photos will be provided for you to choose from as your reference photo. First, Louisa will demonstrate basic charcoal shading techniques to help you capture realism in texture. Next, you will learn the easy-to-master but oh-so-useful “Grid Method” for tackling those pesky proportions in your composition. The result is a more realistic drawing style.
If you are a beginner, have no fear! If more experienced, Louisa is happy to give you advanced one-on-one tips.
You will leave the class with your national park drawing as well as the basic tools to start a new project on your own: a drawing clip board, 2 charcoal pencils, a mechanical eraser, and a tool pouch.
