What exactly is poetry? For some people, poetry is about the style of writing. How accomplished did we all feel in the 2nd grade when we wrote our first Haiku?! (insert smiling emoji)
For others, poetry is everywhere because it is all things. It is in a photo. It is the advice you gave to a friend. It is the facebook status that you needed to read. This is how I think of poetry, and I'd like you to join me in creating more poetry at this workshop! Together, we will read work from other poets and use magazines to find visuals that inspire us. But, most importantly we will write, connect, & create!
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop or favorite notebook to capture their creativity. Wine & light refreshments will be provided!
